This restaurant opened its doors on 15 October 2004 , and promises an informal and fun dining-out experience. Located at in the heart of the city at CHIJMES, this is the only Churrascaria restaurant where diners can dine under the stars. The atmosphere at Carnivore is fun, relaxed, simple and understated.

"With a name like Carnivore, you can be sure the latest restaurant in Chijmes is no place for a vegetarian. The Brazilian churrascaria is, you guessed it, for serious meat lovers. Churrascaria, which offers different types of meat grilled on skewers, is not a new concept here... opened two years ago, also offers churrascaria as well as other South American fare. The style of eating, which comes from a Portuguese word that means barbecue, apparently has its origins among the wandering cowboys of Brazil, for whom dinner is often a grilled slab of meat which they eat by the fire under the stars."
