Original Sin is the first and only Mediterranean vegetarian restaurant in Singapore and a sister restaurant of the Michelangelo's Group of Restaurants. Original Sin is named after the famous fresco which Italian renaissance artist Michaelangelo painted in the Sistine Chapel. It represents the passion, creativity and skill in our unique and flavourful cuisine.

Bruschettas

Basilico : homemade herb bread with creamy Goat cheese, char-grilled eggplant, roasted capsicum and rocket leaves

Pommodoro : homemade herb bread with a kalamata olive tapenade, feta and tomato marinated with garlic, basil and olive oilv

Salads

Moroccan : chick peas marinated in cumin, coriander and Spanish onion, with spinach, feta cheese, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, capsicum and a citrus vinaigrette

Principessa : pumpkin, avocado, asparagus, marinated button mushroom, tomato, bocconcini, French beans, mesclun and croutons, with a balsamic vinaigrette

Arugula : arugula leaves, Australian pear, Spanish onion, croutons and walnuts, with a light NZ Kikorangi blue cheese dressing

Caesar : avocado, asparagus, French beans, roasted beetroot, sugar snap peas, mesclun & yogurt with lemon mustard vinaigrette

Avocado: avocado, French beans, fresh beetroot, carrot, apple, cucumber mesclun and pine nuts with a citrus mustard vinaigrette

Starters

Mushroom timbale: oven baked crepe timbale filled with button, shitake and oyster mushrooms braised in shallots and red wine, served with baby spinach and a pesto cream sauce

Eggplant tofu Gratin: tofu marinated in a moroccan glaze, topped with baked eggplant, cherry tomato, feta cheese and arugula

Magic mushroom: oven baked Portobello mushroom with ricotta cheese, spinach, pesto and pine nuts, topped with a tomato basil sauce and mozzarella (Please allow 20 minutes for preparation)

Mezze platter - Starter/ Main

Koresh : pumpkin, carrot and onion, infused with caraway and fennel seed

Baba ganoush : pureed eggplant blended with garlic, fresh lemon juice and tahini

Tzatziki : refreshing combination of yogurt, cucumber and mint

Hummus : a puree of chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice and olive oil

Falafel: chick pea patties spiced with cayenne, coriander, cumin and fresh herbs

A platter with the following Middle Eastern specialties served with pita bread. All prices are subject to government taxes and 10% service charge

Pasta

Porcini : tagliatelle with porcini and button mushrooms, sautéed with white wine, thyme, parsley and cream, topped with shaved parmesan

Broccolini : aglio olio style spaghetti tossed with broccolini, artichoke hearts, sun dried capsicum, onion, kalamata olives, pesto, pine nuts and shaved parmesan

Absolut: penne with asparagus, button mushrooms, spinach, capsicum and onion, flamed with Absolut vodka, sautéed in a pink sauce topped with shaved Parmesan

Lasagna: baked layers of pasta sheets with button mushroom, spinach, onion, zucchini, capsicum, tomato, mozzarella and fresh basil, topped with shaved parmesan

Pizza

Mushroom: button and oyster mushrooms, spring onion, chilli, mozzarella & parmesan

Sicilian: bocconcini, mozzarella, parmesan, cherry tomatoes, Kalamata olives and basil, topped with arugula leaves

Eggplant: cumin and coriander spiced eggplant with onion, capsicum, feta, mozzarella and pine nuts

Quattro : based with tomato and mozzarella, quartered with; asparagus and smoked cheddar; fresh tomato and kalamata olives; button mushrooms and artichoke hearts; roasted capsicum and feta

Chocolate Mud Cake: a decadently rich and dense chocolate served with vanilla ice cream

Dark Cherry Truffle: dark chocolate mousse studded with poached cherries

Tiramisu: mascarpone cheese mousse with layers of savoiradi soaked in Marsala and coffee liqueurs

Walnut Cheesecake: a traditional oven baked cheesecake studded with walnuts flavoured with maple syrup

Apple Crumble: layers of stewed apples spiced with cinnamon encased in a sweet pastry served warm with vanilla ice cream

Chocolate Brownie: a richly flavoured chocolate brownie served warm with vanilla ice cream (Vegan option served with coconut sorbet)

Lemon Meringue Tart: a creamy lemon curt tart topped with light meringue served with strawberry sauce
