"Upper Club at Chijmes is like a refrain of the dance halls which were so popular in the '60s and '70s. But in this updated version, it comes with both sparkling chandeliers and mirrored balls, a live 11-man band plus a 1,200 sq ft special dance floor as the main centrepiece - cutting through the middle of the 6,500 sq feet hall like a polished wooden runway. The technology behind the 'special' floor is an 'action thrust pneumatic' system, meant to cushion dancing feet...
